The Day she went away...

She said she was lost and confused

You found it funny and you were amused

She said she'll go out for a walk

You didn't think there was need for talk

She put on her shoes and closed the door

You stared at the shattered glass on the floor

You didn't think there was something you lack

But the day she went, she never came back.

She said she just needed time

You thought she just needed to whine

You just stared at her when she cried her tears

You didn't go with her to fight her fears.

Because you always knew she will return

You didn't think there was need for concern

But the day she left, you broke her heart

It was the day, you tore her apart.

You always thought she was just being silly

You never cared that she was unhappy

You didn't listen to her scream and shout

So she put on her shoes and then she walked out.

You thought you will fix things upon her return

There are just some things you didn't learn

Because after that fight, your chance is gone

There will be no undoing of what you have done.

You promised yourself you will make things right

But you didn't know she won't come home tonight

When she walked out, she was hurt and helpless

When you saw her again, she was cold and lifeless.

Now, you wanted to make things right

Apologies should have been said during that night
